RESOLUTION NO. 74-94
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PALM DESERT, DETERMINING PRE-
VAILING WAGE RATES FOR PUBLIC WORK,
OCTOBER 1974.
The City Council of the City of Palm Desert,
California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1: That the City Council has determined
the prevailing rate of per diem wages for each craft,
classification or type or workman needed to execute the
various contracts for public work in their respective
localities, including the rate for holiday and overtime
work, and including employer payments for health and welfare,
pension, vacation and similar purposes, to be as follows:

Overtime is double for each of the foregoing, except Re-
silient Floor & Decorative Covering, where it is time and
one-half from 4:30 p.m. to midnight and Saturdays until 4:30
p.m. Foreman and assistants may receive more than Journeyman
rate for above classifications, pursuant to Collective
Bargaining Agreements. In addition to the foregoing prevailing
waqe rates, the following "fringe" payments are applicable.

CARPENTERS, CEMENT MASONS, IRON MASONS, LABORERS, OPERATING
ENGINEERS AND TEAMSTERS
Provisions for holiday and overtime work, provisions
for employer payments for health, welfare, pension, vacation,
apprentices and similar purposes shall be in accordance
with current agreement between the Associated General Con-
tractors of California and others and the United Brothers of
Carpenters and Joiners of America and others.
Travel and subsistence pay shall be in accordance with
Sec. 1773.8, employment of indentured apprentices shall be
in accordance with Sec. 1777.5, and the employer and any
labor union shall comply with Sec. 1777.6, of the California
Labor Code.
Nothing herein contained sanctions wage payments in
conflict with rules and regulations implementing the federal
Economic Stabilization Program.
