MHgRBAS, t6e City Clerk of the City of Indian 1lells has filed
with thia Council a certitied copy of its resolution requestin� consent
of this Council to undertake appropriate special assessraent and assess-
�aent bond proceedings for the acquisition and construction of public
improve+sente described la said �esolution; and

itesolutioo of Intentioe used ia said proceedin�s: and
i/EiEREA3, a portion of said acquisitions and ir�proverients to
be made are withia the incorporated territory of t61s Citq and no
portioa ot t6e lands to be assessed to pay the costs and ex�enses
thereof is iacorporated territory within said City; and
aHEREAS, said acquisitions and im�rovements to be made are d
such a character that they w�ill directly and peculiarly affect property
not only pithin the boundaries o! the City of Indian '�ells but aliso
t6e incorporated territory �itbin the City of Pala �esert, and the
purposes sought to be accomplished can be be accom�lished by a
single comprehensive scheme of work; aad
��EAS� the public interest, convenience and necessitq wfll
be served bq the making of said acquisitions and i�provements.
:�tU11. TEiE:tEFORE. BE IT RESOLVID as follows:
1. That consent be. and the same is hereby, qranted to t6e
City of Indian Wells to acquire and construct said public improvements
as described in t6e Resolution Requestiaq Consent, aad to make such
changes aad modilicatioas therein as may be proper or advisable in
the manner provided by law.
2. Tliat consent be. and the same is hereby. qranted to said
City oi Indian ■e12*! to open a1Z such public streets as are requtred
for tbe installatioa of said public improvetaents. All work pertainint;
to said project shall be done under the directioa of the Ln�ineer of

specilications are canplied with by the coatractor� tc, the end that
no greater �unouot of ditchea are open at anq time than is aecessarq�
that t6ey shall be adequately lig6ted and barricaded, and that theq
shall be promptly backfilled. and that the pavement shall be restored
witd materials of like quality and character as those existinQ t6erein
at the time of such work and to its former condition and state of
usefulness as nearly as �ay be.
3. That the Superintendent of 3treets of this City be. and
he is hereby� authorized and directed to carry out the provisions of
this Resolution.
4. That the City Clerk of the City of Palm Desert be, and
is herebq. directed to file with the City Council of the Citq of
Indian wells a certified copq of this Resolution.
