City of Pal Desert, County of Riverside, State of California, on Tuesday. the 2nd
d y of March. 1976. as requSred by lar►; ard
MHEREAS, a notice of said election was duly and regularly given in time,
fora +nd anner as providea br law; that voting precincts were properly esWbl ished;
that etectton officers were appointed and tMt in atl respects said etection was
held anA conducted and the votes cast thereat, received and canvassed and the
returns ande arb Geclared in time, form and manner as required by the provisions
of the Elections Code of the SWte of California for the holding of elections; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resotutio No. 76-15 adopted the 12th day of February.
1976. the City Clerk of the City of Palm Desert, Califor ia, canvassed the returns
of saiA etectton and has certified the results to this City Council, said results
are received. attatl:ed and made a pa t hereof as Exhibit A.
MOH. THEREFORE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFOR'iIA,
DOES RESOLYE AS FOLLOtfS:
SECTION i: That there aere seven (7 voting precincts established for
the pu pose of holding said election consisti g of the consolidations of the
regular election precincts in the City of Palm Desert, Califor ia, as established
for the holding of state and county elections.
SECTION 2: That said regular general mu icipat election was held for the
purpose of eletting the following officers of said City as requ red by the laxs
relating to cities i the State of California, to wit:
Two 2 Menbers of the City Council of said City for the full term of
fou rears.
Three 3 Meubers of the City Cou cil of said City for the term of tti+o years.
SECTION 3: That the Nhole rnmibe of votes cast in said City (ezcept absent
voter billots) Mas 2,130.
That the wFate nunber of absent vote ballots cast in said City Nas 108,
aking a total of 2 238 votes cast in said City.

SECTION 5: The City Council �ioes dectare arb determine that:
Edaard 0. Mullins was elected as Member of the City Council of said City
for the full term of four years.
Noc) J. Brush was elected as Member of the City Council of said City
for the full term of four years.
Nilliam R. Seidler aas elected as Member of the City Council of said
C1ty for the full term of hvo years.
James E. McPherson was elected as Member of the City Council of said
City for the full term of two years.
Alexis A. Newbrander was etected as Member of the City Council of
said City fo� the futl term of t�ro yea�s.
SECTIOM 6: The City Clerk shall ente� on the recoM s of the City Council
of said City. a stateeent of the result of said election shoaing:
(1) The wFale rwniber of votes cast in the City;
(2� The nmaes of the persons voted for;
(3) The number of votes giren at each precinct to each person;
(+) The nunber of votes given in the City to each person.
SECTION 7: TM t the City Clerk shall imnediately make and, upo� compliance
br the persons elected xith the provisions of Section 11550 and Section 11559 of
the Elections Code of the S W te of Galifornia, shalt deliver to each of such
De�'sons so elected a Certiflcate of Election signed by him (her) and duly
wtbenticated; that he shall also�:administer to each person elected, the Oath
of pffice presc�ibed in the State Constitution of the State of California and
shall Mve the� subscribe thereto and file the same in his office. Whereupon,
each and all of said persons so elected shall be inducted into the respective
