MHEREAS, the Pl�nning Co�ission did by Resolution No. 236, deny the
applicant's request: and
MHEREAS. the applicant has filed an appeal in a timely manner; and
NHEREAS. the C1ty Counctl did at the regula�ly scheduled meeting of
June 23. 1977, consider the appeal; and
MHEREAS. after heering all the testano�y re9arding this matter did find
the folla+ing facts to exist to justlfy upholdi�9 the fi�dings of the Planning Com-
'� ■issio� and denying the appeal:
•� l. The Planning Commission had sufficient inforn►ation to evaluate the
�exlsting conditions and subsequently make a reasonable judgment.
. 2. A441tiortnl staff ex+mfrtation of the case has determined that the
:j Plennl�9 Conmission's original findings remain valid; namely�
a. The proposed la�d use aould �ot respect predominant existing
uses in the adjacent areas;
b. Lantena Ave�ue is the most logical break Det�+een zones;
c. TAe proposed development is not compatible wlth existin9
develop�nent.
NON� THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLYED by the City Council of the City of Palm
Desert, California, as follars:
1. That the above recitations are true and co�rect and constitute the
findings of the Council in this case;
2. The n�uested appeal is hereby denied.
PASSED, APPROYEO, and ADOPTEO at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert City
Council. held thls 23rd day of June, 1977, by the follaring vote, to Mit:
