A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT,
CALIFORNIA, VACATING A PORTION OF STREET IN SAID CITY UNOER
THE PROVISIONS OF PART 3, DIVISION 9, OF THE STREETS AND
HIGH'�AYS CODE OF TNE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
WNEREAS, the City Council initiated proceedings to vacate a portion of
a street in the City of Palm Desert, as more particularly described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, and the City Council finds that said notices of such vacation were
published and posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council on the 26th day of October and the 30th day
of November, 1978, held a public hearing as required by law, at which hearing all
persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation were heard, and said
public hearing was duly and regularly closed; and
WHEREAS,_the City Council of the City of Palm Desert considered such
mattter and finds from the evidence submitted that portions of the street described
in Exhibit "A" are unnecessary far present or prospective public purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California,
DOES HEREQY RESOLVE as follows:
I
That the following described portions of "Old Highway 74" in the City
of Palm Desert be vacated subject to and retaining all public utility easements
existing under said public right of way. Said portion of street to be vacated
is located in the City of Palm Desert, County af Riverside, State of California,
and is described as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
II
The City Clerk of the City of Palm Desert, California, shall cause a
certified copy of this resolution and order to be recorded in the Office of the
County Recorder of Riverside County, California.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 30th day of November , 1978,
by the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, by the fallowing
vote, to wit:

EXHIBIT "B"
Portion of public right of way adjacent to Lots 1& 24 of Block F of Palm Desert
as recorded in Book 21 of Maps�pages SO-54, Official Records of Riverside County,
California, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the westerly corner of Lot 24 of said map, being the southerly cor-
ner of said public right of way and also being the easterly corner of that certain
parcel of land vacated by a resolution of the Highway Comnission of the State of
California No. A452, recorded Aug. 29, 1974 as Inst. No. 112065;
Thence North 52°56'13" West on a radial line along the northeasterly line of
said highway.vacation 50 feet to a point on the old centerline of State Highway
`;+ 74, the centerline thereof being a circular curve concave to the southeast and
' having a radius of 900 feet; _ -
Thence northeasterly along said centerline through a central angle of 0°3I'19", 8.20
feet to a point on a circular curve concave to the north through which the radial
line bears North 41°47'12" East and having a radius of 37.50 feet;
Thence easterly on said curve through a central angle of 106°20'45", 69.60 feet
to a tangent line; '
Thence North 25°26'25" East.on said tangent line 45.93 feet to a tangent curve con-
cave to the southeast having a radius of 130.00 feet; .
Thence easterly along said curve through a central angle of 19°14'07", 43.64
feet to a tangent line;
Thence North 44°40'32" East on-said tangent line 154.24 feet to a non-tangent
point on a curve concave to the southeast having a radius of 900 feet through
which the radial line bears South 33°50'35" East, said point being on the center-
line of old State Highway 74; ' �
Thence easterly along said centerline through a central angle of 4°38'41", 72.96
feet to a point on the south right of way line of Palm Desert Drive (Frontage
Road);
Thence along said south right of way line Sauth 89°16'19" East 111.22 feet to a
point on the southeasterly line of said old Highway 74, said point being on a
curve concave to the southeast having a radius of 850.00 feet through which the
radial line bears South 22°41'14" EasC;
Thence westerly along said soutlieasterly rlght of way line through a central angle
of 30°14'S9", 448.76 feet to the point of beginning.
