A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM
DESERT, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH RONALD MARTIN AND ASSOCIATES, INC., (RMA)
FOR MONTEREY AVENUE RESTORATION PROJECT
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Palm Desert, California, that the Mayor of the City of Palm Desert,
California, is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement with
Ronald Martin and Associates, Inc., (RMA) for Professional Services
for Monterey Avenue Restoration Project in the amount of �6,100
(said Agreement attached and made a part thereof as Exhibit A).

Monterey Avenue Restoration Project.

Pursuant to your request of February 2lst, we have inspected the erosion
damage of Monterey Avenue at tilhitewater River and are pleased to propose
the following services to effect the reconstruction of the street.
PHASE I
1. Perform topographic survey of street and eroded area.
2. Prepare topographic map of reconstruction area at scale of 1 inch
equals 20 feet�ink on mylar film with appropriate statements, data
and title blocks.
3. Confer with staff of Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage and California State
Division of Highways to establish scope of reconstruction work.
4. Report to Palm Desert Director of Public Works the scope of services
to be performed and the preliminary estimate reconstruction costs.
PHASE II
1. Prepare reconstruction drawings in plan view on topographic duplicate
mylar including drainage course improvements as required.
2. Prepare State Disaster Fund applications.
3. Coordinate preparation of items 1 and 2 with concerned agencies and
process for approval.
4. Prepare Reconstruction Specifications and Bid Documents.

5. Solicit and receive Contractor's bids for reconstruction work, evaluate
and make award recommendation to Director of Public �Jorks.
PHASE III
1. Provide reconstruction control stakes as required.
2. Provide supervision of reconstruction inspection. (Actual inspection
by City.)
3. Review Contractor's invoices and approve for payment.
4. Provide final inspection and certification of completion of impravements.
15 sets of final drawings, specifications and bid documents will be provided.
RNIA proposes to perform the above listed services for a lump sum fee as
itemized below:
