HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 79-008. � ' ,'• .4• � . ) � _� RESOLUTION N0. 79-$ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY HALL OFFICE SPACE LEASE. WHEREAS, the City of Palm Desert has been provided added office space for City Hall operations; and WHEREAS, the City of Palm Desert wishes to amend the present lease to include this added space. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute said amendment, a�tached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A". GILLIGAN, C• CLERK CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA " :. � : � 4 .. • ' " � � � ' � ,�- FIRST AMENDMENT TO LEASE AGREEMENT THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO LEASE AGREE?�IENT, made and entered into this frist day of September, 1978, by and between JO CRAIL MC CART, hereinafter referred to as "Landlord" and CITY OF PALM DESERT, herein- after referred to as "Tenant", whereby the parties hereto agree as follows: W I T N E S S E T H WHEREAS, Landlord and Tenant entered into a Lease Agreement on April 1, 1975, for that certain real property known as 42-275 Prickly Pear Lane, Suites 1, 2, 4, and 5, Palm Desert, California, 92260, hereby express their mutual desire and intent by this writing to amend said Lease to include the 964 square feet commonly known as 42-275 Prickly Pear Lane, Suite 3, Palm Desert, California, 922b0. Effective September 1, 1978, the terms, covenants and conditions will be amended as follows: 1. Exhibit "A" a. Line one to add: Suite 3 b. Line two "Rentable Area" to add: 964 square feet. 5,800 total square feet. c. Line three "Basic Rental" to add: $562.49. $2,822 current rate plus $562.49 - $3,384.49 total. d. Line five "Portion of Increase" to add: 4.29% 25.89% total. e. Line none "Rent Deposit" to add: $562. $4,356 paid $4,918 total f. Line ten "Security Deposit" to add: $562. $2,398 paid $2,960 totai 2. It is further understood that this additional space will be subject to the same third option escalation as the basic space. 3. Tenant accepts additional space in an "as is" condition.
