RESOLUTION N0. 80-1
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, INITIATING PROCEED-
INGS TO VACATE A PORTION OF RANCHO GRANDE, LOCATED
BETWEEN MONTEREY AVENUE AND SIERRA VISTA DRIVE UNDER
THE PROVISIONS OF PART 3, DIVISION 9, OF THE STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CODE, AND FIXING TIME AND PLACE FOR
HEARING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN OR OBJECTING TO
PROPOSED VACATION.
The City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, DOES
HEREBY DETERMINE, ORDER, and RESOLVE as follows:
I
That it intends to and by this Resolution does initiate proceedings
under the provisions of Part 3, Division 9, Of the Streets and Highways Code,
to vacate that portion of public right-of-way described by the attached
description all in the City of Palm Desert, California, subject to and
retaining any and all public utility easements existing under said public
right-of-way.
II
That the hour of 7:00 P.M. on the 14th day of February, 1980, in
the Council Chambers, 45-275 Prickly Pear Lane, Palm Desert, California, is
hereby fixed at the time and p]ace of hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation of said street.
III
That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to publ�sh this resolution
in the Palm Desert Post once and once in another newspaper of general circu-
lation at least ten (10) days before the date of the hearing, and the City
officiais of the City of Palm Desert are hereby instructed to post notice of
such vacation as required by law at least ten (10) days before the date set
for hearing.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Palm Desert, California, on this 24th day of January, 1980, by the following
vote, to wit:

VACATION OF A PORTION OF LOT E
PALM VISTA UNIT N0. 2(ALSO KNOWN AS RANCHO GRANDE)
The real property in the City of Palm Desert, County of Riverside, State
of California, described as a portion of Lot E of Palm Vista Unit No. 2,
as per map recorded in Book 33, Pages 86 and 87 of Maps, Riverside Records.
Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 5 of Palm Uista Unit No. 2 as per
map r�corded in Book 33, Pages 86 and 87 of Maps, Riverside Records, Thence
S. 00 04' 30" E. 60.23' along the easterly line of said Lot 5, said point
being tangent to a 20' radius curve, also being the true point of beginning.
Thence 31.19' along said radius curve through an 89° 20' S0" angle concave
southwesterly to a point tangent to the southerly line of said Lot 5.
Thence S. 89° 25' 20" W. 240.69' to a point on the southerly line of Lot 6
of Palm Vista Unit No. 2, said point being tangent to a 20.00' radius curve.
Thence 31.42' along said radius curve through a 90° 00' 00" angle concave
northwesterly to a point tangent to the westerly line of said Lot 6.
Thence S. 00° 34' 40" E. 60.00' to a point.
Thence N. 89° 25' 20" E. 280.00' to a point.
Thence N. 00° 04' 30" E. to the true point of beginning.
This parcel contains approximately 11,220 square feet.
