A RESOLUTION OF ?yE CITY �OUNCIL OF TNE �ITY OF
PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, VACATING A PORTION OF
STREET IN SAID CITY UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF PART
3, DIVISION 9, OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE
OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council initiated proceedings to vacate a
portion of a street in the City of Palm Desert, as more particularly
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and the City Council finds
that said notices of such vacation were published and posted as required
by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council on the 14th day of February, 1980,
held a public hearing as required by law, at which hearing all persons
interested in ur� �bj�ctir�g �o the proposed vacation were heard, and said
public hearing was duly and regularly closed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert considered
such matter and finds from the evidence submitted that portions of the
street described in Exhibit "A" are unnecessary for present or prospective
public purposes.
NOW, !NFREFORE, tha Clty C�JU!?C?� Of th� ��ty Of Pd�m D�S��t,
California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE as follows:
I
That the following described portion of Rancho Grande, between
Sierra Vista Drive and Monterey Avenue, in the City of Palm Desert be
vacated subject to and retaining all public utility easements existing
under said public right-of-way. Said portion of street to be vacated is
iocated in the City of Palm Desert, County of Riverside, State of California,
and is described as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
II
The City Clerk of the City of Palm Desert, California, shall
cause a certified copy of this resolution and order to be recorded in the
Office of the County Recorder of Riverside County, California.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 14th day of February, 1980,
by the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Brush, McPherson, Newbrander, Wilson & Mullins
NOES: None �
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: PJone

The real property in the City of Palm Desert, Coim.ty of Riverside, State
of California., described as a portion of Lot E of Palm Vista Unit No. 2,
as per map recorded in Book 33, Pages 86 and 87 of P�1a.ps, Riverside Records.
Begixmin.g at the northeast corner of L�ot 5 of Palm Vista Unit No. 2 as per
ma.p recorded in Book 33, Pages 86 and 87 of Maps, Riverside Records, thence
S. 00° 04' 30" E. 60.23' along the ea.sterly line of said Lot 5, said point
being tangent to a 20' radius curve, also being the true point of begirming.
Thence 31.19' along said radius curve through an 89° 20' 50" an.gle concave
southwesterly to a point tan.gent to the southerly line of said Lot 5.
Thence S. 89° 25' 20" W. 240.69' to a point an the southerly line of Ipt 6
of Palm Vista Unit No. 2, said point being tangent to a 20.00' radius curve.
Thence 31.42' along said radius curve through a 90° 00' 00" angle concave
northwesterly to a point tangent to the westerly line of said Lot 6.
Thence S. 00° 34' 40" E. 60.00' to a point.
Thence N. 89° 25' 20" E. 270.00' to a point.
Thence northeasterly to the true point of begirming.
This parcel contains approximately 11,220 square feet.
