A RESOLUTION OF TNE CI7Y COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA,
PRESCRISING CONSTRUCTION PERMIT AND
PLAN CHECK FEES.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pa1m Desert has
heretofore determined and established-a Building Department within
the City of Palm Desert; and
- WHEREAS, Revenues from Construction Permits and Plan
Checks contribute to and assist in financial support for said agency
and its inspection and enforcement programs; and
WHEREAS, Such action is consistent for the preservation
of the Health, Welfare, and Safety of the general public in the
City of Palm Desert, California.
NOW, THEREi�ORE, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert,
California, DOES HFREBY RESOLUE as follows:

That in addition to any other fee or fees prescribed by
law, every person, firm, corporation or individual desiring
to construct, alter, relocate or move, demolish, repair or change
an existing or occupancy shall pay the fees as prescribed in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. Said fee
schedule and this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately on its passage.
II
Determination of Valuation. Valuation shall be established
by the Building Official based upon current "Valuation Data
Charts" as published by the International Conference of
Building Officials, Whittier, California, current construction cost
indicators and analysis of Security National Bank, Dodge Reports, and
other pertinent data relating to construction valuation.
