HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 81-143RESOLUTION NO. 81-143 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE STATE DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION TO REQUIRE CERTIFICATES OF ZONING COMPLIANCE OF APPLICANTS - FOR PERMITS TO ERECT OUTDOOR ADVERTISING DISPLAYS IN THE CITY OF PALM DESERT The City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE as follows: SECTION 1: As authorized by the Outdoor Advertising Act, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert hereby respectfully requests that the State Director of Transportation require all appiicants for permits to erect outdoor advertising displays in the City of Palm Desert to present a Certificate of Zoning Compliance issued by the City of Palm Desert prior to the issuance of any permit. SECTION 2: All applications for Certificates of Zoning Compliance shall be filed with the City Manager of the City of Palm Desert. If the application for the permit does not comply with the City's General Plan or zoning regulations, the City Manager shall advise, in writing, the Director of Transportation and the applicant of the fact of noncompliance. SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and send a certified copy thereof to the State Director of Transporatation. PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, on this 22nd day of October, 1981, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: McPherson, Newbrander, Puluqi, Snyder ac Wilson NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None ATTEST: Q �'/i SHEILA R.
