A RESOLUTIQN OF THE CITY COUPJCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM
DESCRT, CALIFORNIA, AUTFIORIZING TRA NSFERS AND CHANGE
QF PURPOSE OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT RESERVE FUN�S AND
AMENDING THE 1980-81 BUDGET TO PROVIDE FOR CERTAIN
TRANSFERS TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT RESERVE FUNDS.
WHEREAS, it is desirable that the purpose of certain Capital Improvement
Reserve funds, heretofore established, be changed for the 1981-82 budget; and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable to make certain transfers among heretofore
established Capital Improvement Reserve Funds; and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable to amend the 1980-81 Budget to provide for
additional transfers to Capital Improvement Reserve Funds.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm
Desert, California, that:
Section 1. The purposes of certain heretofore established Capital
Improvement Reserve Funds are hereby changed as follows:
a. Fund 43 -"Magnesia Falls Crossing" is designated "City Wide
Tie-In Paving";
b. Fund 44 -"Ave. 44 Drain from San Pascual to Portola" is designated
"Ave. 44 Drain from Monterey to San Pascual";
c. Fund 45 -"Traffic Signal - Ave. 44 and Monterey" is designated
"1981-82 Signalization Program";
d. Fund 37 -"Magnesia Falls Extension" is designated "Willow
Storm Drain."
Section 2. The following transfers among Capital Improvement Reserve
are hereby authorized:
From Fund 34 -"Sand Dune Park" the sum of $100,000; from Fund 42 -
"Ironwood Park Storm Drain" the sum of $90,000; from Fund 46 -
"Signal - Monterey & Las Palmas Entrance" the sum of $10,000; from
Fund 48 -"Marrakesh Park" the sum of $50,000;
To Fund 37 -"l�lillow Storm Drain" the sum of $50,000; to Fund 45 -
"1981-82 Signalization Program" the sum of $10,000; to Fund 50 -
"Sports Center" the sum of �75,000; to Fund 55 -"Homestead Drain"
the sum of $115,000.
Section 3. The 1980-81 Budget is hereby amended by appropriating the
sum of $1,400,000 from the Unobligated Fund Balance of the General Fund
to the following accounts for transfer to Capital Improvement Reserve
Funds:
a. Fund 43 -"City Wide Tie-In Paving" $255,400
b. Fund 44 -"Ave. 44 Drain - Monterey to San Pascual" 849,000
c. Fund 55 -"Homestead Drain" 45,600
d. Fund 56 -"Pitahaya Inversion" 250,000
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTFD on this 28th day of MaY , 1981, by
the following vote, to wit:
