RESOLUTION N0. g3-63
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, AUTHO-
RIZING COLLECTION OF CASH ASSESSMENTS
OF LESS THAN 5150.00 UPON THE TAX ROLLS
UPON WHICH GENERAL TAXES ARE COLLECTED
WHEREAS, the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, has conducted
: proceedings and confirmed assessments pursuant to the provis�ons of the
' "Municipal Improvement Act of 1913", being Division 12 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, for the construction of certain works
of improvement, together with appurtenances, in a special assessment district
known and designated as
ASSESSMENT OISTRICT N0. 81-1
(SHADOW MOUNTAIN ORIVE AREA)
(hereinafter referred to as the "Assessment District"); and,
WHEREAS, the proceedings and Resolution of Intention have expressly declared that
bonds shall be issued to represent all unpaid assessments of $150.00 or more,
said bonds to �ssued pursuant to the terms and provisions of the "Improvement Act
of 1911", being Division 1 of said Code; and,
WHEREAS, said proceedings at this time include certain assessments of less than
$150.00, and it is the desire of this City Council that said assessments be
collected upon the tax roll upon which general taxes are coilected; and,
WHEREAS, attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", referenced and so incorporated, is
a listing setting forth a general description of the properties so assessed for
less than E150.00, which assessments at this time remain unpaid.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. That the above recitals are all true and correct.
SECTION 2. .That the listing of assessments of less than $150.00, attached hereto
marked Exhibit "A", is hereby approved by this City Council.
SECTION 3. It is expressly authorized that all unpaid assessments of less than
�150.00 shall now be collected upon the tax roll upon which general
t axes are collected. Said amounts shall be collected at the same
time and in the same manner as general municipal taxes, and be sub-
ject to the same penalties and interest, and to the same procedure
under foreclosure and sale in case of delinquency.
SECTION 4. A copy of this Resolution shall immediately be transmitted to the
County Tax Collector for purposes of inclusion in the next tax roll
for l i st � ng as due and payab l e aga i nst the propert i es as set fort h i n
the attached, referenced and incorporated Exhibit "A".

SECTION 5. This Resolution is adopted pursuant to the provisions of Section 5450
and subsequent Sections of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California.

California on this 23 day of June , 1983, by the following vote:
