A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PALM DE5ERT, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A
GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT, THE HOUSING
ELEMENT.
CASE NO. GPA 84-01
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 8th
day of November, 1984, hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider approval of a new
housing element to the general plan.
WHEREAS, said housing element has complied with the requirements of the "City
of Palm Desert Procedures to Implement the California Environmental Quality Act,
Resolution No. 80-89," in that the director of environmental services has determined that
the housing element will not have an adverse impact on the environment and a negative
declaration of environmental impact has been prepared.
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and
arguments, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said city council did find the
following facts to }ustify their actions, as described below:

The proposed housing element complies with the California State Housing
Element Law, Government Administration Code Section 65580.
The proposed policies and programs will enhance housing opportunities for
all segments of the Palm Desert community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm
Desert, California, as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings
of the commission.
That the Housing Element, GPA 84-Q 1, is hereby approved and incorporated
into the Palm Desert General Plan.
That a Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact is approved.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert City
Council, held on this 8th day of November, 1984, by the following vote, to wit:
