Home My WebLink AboutCC RES 84-157RESOLUTION N0. 84-157 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, VACATING A PORTION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY KNOWN AS SANTA ROSA WAY IN SAID CITY UNDEP, THE PROVISIONS OF PART 3, DIVISION 9, OF THE STREETS AND HIGHIJAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the City Council initiated proceedings to vacate a portion of a street in the City of Palm Desert, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and the City Council finds that said notices of such vacation were published and posted as required by law; and WHEREAS, the City Council on the 13th day of December, 1984, held a public hearing as required by law, at which hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation were heard, and said public hearing was duly and regularly closed; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert considered such matter and finds from the evidence submitted that portions of the street described in Exhibit "A" are unnecessary for present or prospective public purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE as follows: I That the following described portion of right-of-way known as Santa Rosa Way in the City of Palm Desert be vacated subject to and retaining all public utility easements existing under said public right-of-way and a pedestrian easement over said right-of-way. Said portion of street to be vacated is located in the City of Palm Desert, County of Riverside, State of California, and is described as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. II The City Clerk of the City of Palm Desert, California, shall cause a certified copy of this resolution and order to be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of Riverside County, California.
