A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESER7,
CALIFURNIA, ESTABLISHING AN AUTHORIZED AGENT FOR PROPERTY
ACQUISITION FOR THE WIDENING OF FRED WARING DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed that certain improvements involving
the widening of the roadway be constructed on Fred Waring Drive in the City of Palm
Desert; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the City must acquire r_ertain
properties for road right-of-way purposes, in order for said improvements to be con-
structed; and
WHEREAS, the actions involved with acquisition of property by the City
necessitate the designation of an authorized agent to act on the behalf of the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm
Desert, California, as follows:
(1) That Bruce A. Altman, City Manager, or such persons as may be d2��ig-
nated by him, is hereby designated as an Official Agent of the City
of Palm Desert for the purpose of acquiring property required by the
City for the widening of Fred Waring Drive.
(2) That the City of Palm Desert hereby authorizes its Offic�ial AgE�nt
to act on the behalf of the City in all matters pertaining to this
acquisition of property, including the power to negotiate for prop-
erty and make offers of valuable consideration for property on the
behalf of the City.
