RESOLUTION N0. 87-75
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C[TY OF PALM OESERT,
CALIFORNIA, PROCEEDING WITH TNE INSTALLATION OF STREET
IhPROVEMEN7S ON TliE PORTION OF COtfNTRY CLUB DRIVE NORTH SiDE
BETWEEN PORTOLA AVENUE AND COOK STREET UNDER THE PROVIS[ONS
SET FORTH IN THE STREETS AND HIGHNAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, PART 3, SECTION 5103, PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE 416
OF THE PALM DESERT MUNICIPAL CODE.
WHEREAS, the City Council developed Ordinance 416 to improve major
arterials within the City of Palm Desert to install the necessary widening in
order to accommadate traffic safely; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert finds that staff
has posted, published and sent notices of said Ordinance 416 street improvement
project, as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council on the 23rd day of July 1987, held a public
hearing, as required by law. at which hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed project were heard, and said public hearing was duly
and regularly closed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert proceeded ta hear
and pass upon all protests against the proposed work and that the protests made
by owners is of less than one-half of the area of the property to be assessed or
the protests were overruled by affirmative of four-fifths of the City Councll.
NOW, THEREFORE. the City Council of the City of Palm Dese�t,
California, DOES HEREBY RESO�VE as follows:
I
That the following described proposed work be initiated in accordance
with Ordinance 416 for the purpose of providing adequate capacity and safe
roadway for the motoring public.
II
That the procedures and policies set forth by the City Council and the
City Attorney have been met by the staff. including but not limited to, adequate
notification to the property owners to be assessed.
III
Said portion of street to be improved is designated an arterial located
in the City of Palm Desert, County of Riverside, 5tate of California, and is
described as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto.

IV
The City Clerk of the City of Palm Desert, California, shall cause at
least three copies of the notice of passage of this resolution of necessity to be
posted.
V
The City Clerk of the City of Palm Desert, California, shall cause a
certified copy of this resolution and order to be recorded for each property in
the Office of the County Recorder of Rlverside County, California.
. PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED on this 23rd day of July , 1987, by
the City Councii of the City of Paim Deser�, Ca{ifornia, by the following vote,
to wit:
