HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 88-105RESOLUTION N0. 88-105 i � , � A RE SOL UT I ON OF THE C I TY COUNC I L OF TNE C I TY OF PAL M DESERT MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS AND DETERMINATIONS IN CONNECTION MITH ASSESSMENT DISTRICT N0. 87-1 AND ORDERING THE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO PIACE SET ASSESSMENTS ON THE 1988-89 TAX ROLLS THE C I TY COUNC I L OF THE C I TY OF PALM DESERT HEREBY FINDS, DETERMINES, RESOLVES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Pursuant to its Resolution No. 88-73, the City Council has conftrmed an assessment in connection with proceedings to establish its Assessment Distrlct No. 87-1 pursuant to the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913, being Celifornia Streets and Highways Code Section 10000, et seg. and has ordered the levy and collection of tf�e assessment. Pursuant to 1ts Resolution No. 88-74, the City Council has provided for the issuance of improvement bonds representing unpaid assessments in such Assessment District No. 87-1, pursuant to the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, being California Streets and Highways Code Section 8500, et seg. The assessment is in compliance with ail laws pertaining to the levy of the assessment, and in particular, the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 and the lmprovement Bond Act of 1915. The assessment is levied without regard to property valuetion. The purpose of the assessment is to pay for the cost of the acquisition and the construction of certain public improvements described in Resolution No. 88-51 of the City Council, including street, sanitary sewer and storm drain improvements which specially benefit the parcels of property within Assessment District No. 87-1. Section 2.
