A RESOLUTI011 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALPi
DESERT, CALIFORNIA APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF
Er1VIRONMENTAL IMPACT AND GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT LOCATED
AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF FRED WARING DRIVE AND SAN
PABLO AVENUE.
CASE NO'S. GPA 88-1
WHEREAS, the City Council of th2 City of Palm Desert, California, did on the
llth day of August, 1988 hold a duly noticed public hearinq to consider a request
by LEVI H. LEHV, M.D. for approval of a Negativ2 Declaration of Environmental
Impact, General Plan Amendment from High Density Residential to Office
Professional at the southeast corner of Fred Warinq Drive and San Pablo Avenue.
WHEREAS, said application has complied with the requirements of the "City of
Palm Desert Procedures for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality
Act, R2solutzon No. 80-89", in that th2 director of community development has
determined that the project will not have a significant impact on the en��ironment
and a negative decZaration has been prepared.
WHEREAS, at said public hearinq, upon hearing and considering all testimony and
arguments of aII interested persons desirinq to be heard said city council did
find the following facts to exist to justify their actions.
GEIdERAL PLAN AMENDMENT
1. The proposed medical offic2 us2 is compatible with other eYisting and
approved us�s in the ar�a.
2. The proposed use is consistent with the intent of th2 Palma Villag2
Specific Plan to provide for uses which are both compatible With high
traffic ��olumes on Fred Warinq Drive and adjacent residential uses.
NdW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Desert,
as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute th2
findinqs of the council in this case.
2. That the N2qative Declaration of Environmental Impact, Exhibit "A" and GP�
88-1 Exhibit "B" are hereby approved.

professional), precise plan and. parcel map for a 24,000 square ioot medical
buildinq located at the southeast corner of Fred Warinq Drive and San Pablo
Avenue.
The Director of Community Development, City of Palm Desert, California, has fouad
that the described project Will not have a siqnificant etfect on the environment.
A copy of the initial study has been attached to document the reasoas in support
of this findiaQ. Mitiqation measures, it any, included in the project to avoid
potentially siQnificant effects, may also be iound attached.
