A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT,
CAL(FORNIA, INITIATING PROCEEDINGS TO VACATE A PEDESTRIAN
EASEMENT OVER A PORTION OF PREVIOUSLY VACATED R[GNT-OF-NAY
fCNOi�N AS SANTA ROSA WAY UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF PART 3,
DIVISION 9, OF THE STREETS AND HIGHNAYS CODE, AND FIXING A
T1ME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED 1N OR
OBJECTING TO THE pROPOSED VACATION. .
The City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, does hereby
OETERM[NE, ORDER, and RESOLVE as follows:
I
That it intends to, and by this resolution does, initiate proceedings
under the provisions of Part 3, Division 9. of the Streets and Highways Code, to
vacate a portton of previously vacated rigi�t-of-way described as a portlon of
Santa Rosa Way 1n the City of Palm Desert, Californla, more particularly
described in Exhibits "A" and "B", attached hereto.

That the hour of 7:00 p.m. on the 8th day of December, 1988, in the
Council Chamber, 73-510 Fred Waring prive, Palm Desert, California, is hereby
fixed as the time and place of hearing all persons interested in or objecting to
the proposed vacation of said street.

7hat the City Clerk is hereby instructed to publish notice of said
hearing in the Palm Desert Post once at least ten (10) days before the date of
the hearing, and the city officials of the City of Palm Desert are hereby
instructed to post notice of such vacation, as required by law, at least ten (10)
days before the day set for hearing.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Palm
Desert, California, on this lOth day of November , 1988, by the following vote,
to wit:

� LEGAL OESCRIPTION
A pedestrian easement over a portion of the North half of the Northwest
one-quarter of Section 20, Township 5 South, Range 6 East, S.B.B. 8 M.,
as shown tn Palma Village Unit No. 12, as recorded in Book 27, Pages
36, 37, of Records of Riverside County, State of California, and more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Parcel 1 as recorded on Instrument
Number 251648 dated September 21, 1984, said point being tt�e TRUE POINT
OF BEGINNING;
Thence. North 89 46'00" East along the Southerly line of Parcel 1 a
distance of 64.50 feet;
Thence, South 00 11'll" East a distance of 60.00 feet to the Northeast
corner of Lot S0;
Thence, South 89 46'00" West along the Northerly line of Lot 80 a
dlstance of 65.00 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 80;
Thence, North 00 17'28" East a distance of 60.00 feet to the True Point
of Beginning.
Th1s parcel contains 3,884.9971 square feet or O.OE392 acre.
