A RESOlUTION OF THE C1TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT,
CALI�ORNIA, AMARDING TtE CONTRACT TO THE LOiIEST RESPONSIBLE
BIDDER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE STREET MIDENING Il�ROVE-
lENTS ON T?� NORTH S I DE OF FRED MAR I NG DR I VE BE'T1iEEN VALLEY
PALMS ESTATES AND DEEP CANYON ROAD PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE
N0. 416.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, has
adopted Ordinance No. 416, establishing a procedure for the installation of
street improvements whenever the public interest and necesslty demand the
construction and completion of street improvements to undeveloped areas of the
city; and
WHEREAS, a second public hearing for the City Councfl to allow property
owners to discuss their actual assessed costs prior to award of contract has been
closed after receiving public testimony; and
WNEREAS, the City of Palm Desert has followed the prescribed policies
and procedures for the procurement of said improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:

That the above recitals are true and correct.
That the low bidder is the lowest responsible bidder since the low
bidder has successfully completed work for the City of Palm
Desert.
The sealed bids were opened on June 24. 1988, at 10:00 a.m. with
the following results:

Massey Sand 8 Rock Company is the lowest responsible bidder with
the bid of $54,959.
A ten percent contingency in the amount of $5,495.90, be included
in the project budget.

PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Palm
Desert, California, on the 14th day of July � 1988, by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES: CRITES, KELLY, SNYDER, WZLSON, BENSON
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: NONE
