Wf�RFAS, the City Cbi.mcil of the Gity of PaLn Desert, California, did an
the 25th day of January, 1990, Y»ld a duly noticed public hearing to aoa�sider
an appeal by BERNAFtD D�iE, to a decisi� of the plannirr3 aamLissioai denying
a negative declaratioci of enviroaYnental ir�act and ger�eral plan amer�c�e.nt frcm
medium density residential to office professia�al for a professi�al office
project on an 8.62 acre site ai the north side of Highway 111 at the east city
limit; and
W�RF..AS, said application has cai�lied with the requirements of the "City
of Palm Desert Procedures to Implement the California �vi.rocY�ntal Quality
Act, Resolution No. 80-89", in that the director of oanrnuiity develo�ment has
detennined that the pro�ect will not have a significant impact on the
environment and a negativ�e c�eclaration has beeri prepared; and .
Wf�RE'AS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all
testinbny and ar�m�ents of all persor�s desirir�g to be heard, said city aa.uicil
did find the follawir�g facts to axist to �ustify their actians:
1. The proposed office use is compatible with other existing and
apprr�ved uses in the area.
2. The praposed use w:ill be ccmpatible with high traffic volumes on
Highway 111.
NC7W, Tf�REFORE, BE IT RESOLVID by the City Crnu�cil of the City of Palm
Desert, California, as follaws:
1. That the abave recitations are true and ao�z�ect and oa�stitute the
fi.ndings of the oau�cil in this case. ,
2. That the Negativ�e Declaration of Envirocmental I�act E�shibit "A" and
GPA 89-4 �htbit "B" are hareby apprr�v�ed.
