RESOLUTION N0. 90-116
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING A SENZOR HOUSING UNIT TO BE
CONSTRUCTED WITH A NEW HOME SOUTH OF
DESERT LILY - 400 FEET WEST OF GRAPEVINE.
Case No. CUP 90-10
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm
Desert, California, did, on the Sth day of June, 1990 , and
continued to June I9 , 1990 , hold a duly noticed public
hearing to consider the request by Bruce Clark for the
project described above; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did, on August 23 , 1990 , and
continued to September 13 , 1990 , hold a duly noticed public
hearing to consider Bruce Clark' s request for the project
described above; and
WHEREAS, said application has complied with the
requirements of the City of Palm Desert Procedure for
Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act,
Resolution No. 80-89 , in that the Director of Community
Development has determined that the project is a Class 3
Categorical Exemption; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and
considering all testimony and arguments , if any, of all
interested persons desiring to be heard, said City Council
did find the following facts and reasons exist to justify
granting approval of said Conditional Use Permit:
1 . The proposed location of the conditional use is in
accord with the objectives of the Zoning Ordinance
and the purpose of the District in which the site
is located;
2 . The proposed location of the conditional use and
the conditions under which it will be operated and
maintained will not be detrimental to the public
health, safety or general welfare , or be materially
injurious to properties or improvements in the
vicinity;
3 . The proposed conditions use will comply �vith each
of the applicable provisions of this Title , except
for approved variances or adjustments;
4 . The proposed conditional use complies with the
goals, objectives and policies of the City' s
Adopted General Plan;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows:
1 . That the above recitations are true and correct and
constitute the findings of the City Council in this case;
2. That approval of said Conditional Use Permit is
hereby granted, subject to the following conditions:
A. Senior unit must be reserved for one (1) or
two (2 ) persons at least sixty (60) years of
age, that are related to family or a guest.
Said unit may not be used for rental purposes.
B. Square footage of senior unit shall not exceed
ten percent (10$) of the living area, and
total building coverage for all units shall
not exceed thirty (30$) or 6 , 203 square feet.
3 . The property subject to this approval is described
as follows:
I,ot 6 , Block K-3 , Palm Desert Unit No. 3 , Map
Book 021/081 , commonly known as 46-375 Desert
Lill, Palm Desert, California, Assessor' s
Parcel No. 630-033-003 .
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, held on
this 13th day of Se�teTnber , 1990 , by the following
vote, to wit;
