A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCII, OF THE C1TY OF PALM DESERT,
CALIFOItNIA, CONTINUIIJG REQ FOR FOSTII�IG OF
C1TY COUNCII. AGENDA AND PROVISION FOR PUBLIC CONIIViIIVT THIItIIN
WHIItEAS, the State of California, by SB 1333, has temporarily suspended the
requirements for posting of City Council agenda, the provision for public comment during
City Council meetings, and other requirements of the Brown Act (Open Meeting Laws) in
the State of California; and
VV]HIItFAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the posting of the agenda allows
for the public to be informed of items on the agenda in advance of the meetings and
believes it is in the public interest to condnue all of the procedures, including the inclusion
of an oral communication section of the agenda, for the benefit of the public in general.
NOW, THIItEFORE, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California,
DOES HIItEBY RESOLVE as follows:
1. That the City Council dces hereby affirm and ratify its determinadon that all
requirements of the Ralph M. Brown Act, though suspended by the State
Legislature, in its application to the City shall be followed by the City of Palm
Desert for the period of time of its suspension or until further action of the
City Council.
PASSID, APPROVID, and ADOPTID by the City Council of the City of Palm
Desert, California, at its regular meeting held on the 1 h day of mb r 19�Q, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: BENSON, KELLY, SNYDER, WILSON, CRITES
NOFS: NONE
ABSENT: NONE
ABSTAIN: NONE
