A RESOlUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT,
CAL[FORN[A. [N[T[ATING PROCEED[NGS TO VACATE A PORTION OF
RIGHT-OF-MAY KNOMN AS PALM DESERT DRIVE NORTH ANO ALESSAI�ORO
DR[1/E UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF PART 3, DIVISION 9, OF TFIE
STREET5 AND HIGHriAYS CODE. ANO FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR
HEARING All PERSONS INTERESTED IN OR 08JECTING TO THE
PROP'OSED VACATION.
The City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, does hereby
DETERMtNE, OROER, and RESO�VE as foilows:
I
That it intends to, and by this resolution does, initiate proceedings
under the provisions of Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code, to
vacate a portion of public right-of-way described as a portion of Palm Desert
Orive North and Alessandro Drive in the City of Palm Desert, California, more
particularly described in Exhibits "A" and "B", attached hereto, sub,Ject to and
retaining any and all public utility easements existing upon or under said public
rlght-of-way.

That the hour of 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd day of August, 1990, in the
Council Chamber, 73-510 Fred Waring Orive, Palm Desert, California, is hereby
fixed as the time and place of hearing all persons interested in or obJecting to
the proposed vacation of said street.

That the City Clerk is her•eby instructed to publish notice of said
hear i ng i n the Pa 1 m Desert Post once at I east ten ( 10) days before the date of
the hearing, and the City officials of the City of Palm Desert are hereby
instructed to post notice of such vacation, as required by law, at least ten ( l0)
days before the day set for hearing.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Palm
Desert, California, on this 26th day of July, 1990, by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES: CRITES, BENSON, SNYDER, WILSON, KELLY
NOES: NONE

YACATION OF A PORTION OF
ALESSANDRO DRIVE AND PALM DESERT DRIYE NORTH
Parcel 1
That certain parcel of land, situated in the City of Palm Desert, County of
Riverside, State of California, being that portion of the land described in a
Grant Deed to the County of Riverside recorded October 21, 1963 in Book 3515,
Page 298 of Official Records, described as follows:
BE6INNING at the southeast corner of said Lot 20; thence along the south line
of said Lot 20 and the south line of said Grant Deed South 89•55'S3" West 20.04
feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave northeasterly and having a -
radius of 20.00 feet, the northerly terminus of said curve shall be tangent to
a line parallel with and 20.00 feet east of the west line of said tot 20; thence
along said curve northwesterly 14.45 feet through a central angle of 41'24'34"
to an intersection with the northerly line of said Grant Deed; thence along said
northerly line North 89'S5'S3" East 33.26 feet to the east line of said Lot 20;
thence along said east line South 00'10`41" East 5.00 feet to the Point of
Beginning.
CONTAINING: 0.003 Acres more or less.
Parcel 2
That certain parcel of land situated in the City of Palm Desert, County of
Riverside, State of California, being that portion of the land described in a
Grant Deed to the County of Riverside recorded August 21, 1962 in Book 3206, Page
526 of Official Records together with that portion of Lot "L," Block "B" of the
Palma Village Unit No. 6 filed in Book 20, Pages 81 through 83 of Maps, both in
the Office of the County Recorder of said Riverside County, described as follows:
C�MIENCING at the northwesterly corner of said Lot "L"; thence along the north
line of said Lot "L" North 89'35'15" East 20.00 feet to the proposed Right-of-
Way of Portola Avenue and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing along
said north line and the south line of that certain parcel of land described in
Instrument No. 336518 of Official

Records North 89'35'15" East 214.05 feet to a point in a line parallel with and
36.00 feet west of the easterly line of said Instrument No. 336518; thence along
said parallel line South 00'll'06" East 15.08 feet to the beginning of a tangent
curve concave northwesterly and having a radius of 20.00 feet, the southwesterly
terminus of said curve shall be tangent to a line parallel with and 70.00 feet
northerly of the centerline of State Highway 111 as shown on said Palma Village
Unit No. 6; thence along said curve southerly and southwesterly 31.34 feet
through a central angle of 89'46'21" to said tangent line; thence along said
parallel line South 89'35'15" West 234.05 feet to the beginning of a tangent
curve concave northeasterly and having a radius of 20.00 feet, the northerly
terminus of said curve shall be tangent to a line parallel with and 20.00 feet
east of the west line of said Lot "L"; thence along said curve westerly and
northwesterly 31.50 feet to said tangent line; thence along said parallel line
North 00'10'41" West 14.92 feet to the True Point of Beginning
CONTAINING 0.216 Acres more or less.
