HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 92-021RESOLUTION NO. 92-21 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS WITH RESPECT TO THE COMPLEXITY OF PROPOSED COMMUNITY FACILITIES OISTRICT NO. 91-1 (INDIAN RIDGE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS) WHEREAS, on December 1Z, I991, this City Council adopted a resolution of intention to establish a community facilities district (the "District") and set a public hearing thereon to be held on January 23, 1992. WHEREAS, this City Council has received information with respect to the District and the facilities and services proposed to be financed through the issuance of bonds of the City for the District from the City staff and others and opened said public hearing on January 23, 1992, and has continued said hearing to this date. WHEREAS, City staff and Sunrise Desert Partners (the "Property Owner") are continuing their review of the proposed rate and method of appo�tionment of the speciai taxes to be levied in the District, the agreement regarding the acquisition and funding of the public improvements, and arrangements with other public agencies, all of which may affect the structure of said bonds and the costs of issuance thereof, but such impact cannot be ascertained until such matters have been finally determined. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California as follows: SECTION 1: The foregoing recitals are true and correct, and, accordingly, this City Council finds that further input from the special tax consultant. District counsel and the Property Owner is needed in connection with the public heari�g on the formation of the District and the special taxes to be levied within the District. SECTION 2: In light of the complexity of the proposed District, the public hearing continued to this date is hereby further continued to the next regular City Council meeting on � March 12, 1992, and, at the discretion of this City Council, may exceed six months from January 23, 1992, all as permitted by Section 53325 of the California Government Code. PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, this 12th day of March, 1992 by the foilowing vote, to wit: AYES: BENSON, CRITES, SNYDER, WILSON, KELLY NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ,� ABSTAIN: NONE ' RICHARD S.
