Home My WebLink AboutCC RES 92-036ARESOLUTION NO. 9 2- 3 6 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, COVERING PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION AND ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF A REPORT ON SAID IMPROVEMENT WHEREAS, the CITY COUNCIL oi the CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, is contsmplating the construction of certain public worka of improvement under procQedinq4 conducted pureuant to the "Municipal Improvement Act of 1913", being Divieion 12 of the Streete and Hiqhways Code of the State of California, in a speaial asaessment dietrict known and desiqnated ae ASSESSMENT DI5TRICT NO. 91-1 (hereinafter reierred to ae the "Asaesameat District"). NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the above recitala are all true and correct. SECTION 2. That certain public worka of improvemwnt, together with appurtenances and appurt�nant work, includinq acqui�ition wh�r� n�ceseary, are proposed to bQ don� and made within the boundaries o! the Aeeessment Diatrict. In connection therewith, it is found and determined ae follows: A. That th• sp�cific nature of the proposed worke of improvement consiets oi the conetruction and installation ot major traneporta- tion faciliti��, including th� Cook StrNt/I-10 interchanqe, the Cook StrNt/SPTC Ovorcro�oinql tho roaliqnn�at ot I-l0t tho raaliqn- ment of Varner Roadf and the extansion of Cook 3tr�et (two lanee) trom th� SPTC Ov�rcro�sinq to Frank Sinatra, toq�th�r with appurte- nancee and appurtenant work, includinq acquisition as required nnd neces�ary, to ��rve and b�n�tit prop�rti�• located within th� bounda- rieo o! th� A��r�ment Dietrict. DAVIDSON ASSOCIATL3, INC., who is hereby appoint�d to prxur� all n�cessary infor- mation to pr�parf a report on the proposed improv�ment in th� manner and form provid�d Lor in Divi4ion 4 of th� Strset� and Hiqhways Code of the state of California, th� "Special Ae�e��enent Investiqation, Limitation and Majority Prot��t Act of 1931". � RE�OLLTIOV �0. 92-36 SECTION 5. That this Resolution and the Report ae ordered herein are pursuant to the provieions of said Division 4, and eaid Report ehall have attached to it a copy of this Reeolution upon its adoption. SECTION 6. That thie legielative body does intend that a contribution be made to pay for certain of the coeta and expeneee of the works of improvement ae propoaed under theae proceedinge.
