A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM
DESERT, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE FORMATION OF A
LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING DISTRICT PURSUANT TO THE
LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972 AND CONFIRMING THE
REPORT AND DIAGRAM FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 93-9 (THE
GROVE)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert,
California, has heretofore declared its intention by Resolution No.
93-20, to create a landscaping and lighting district in a portion
of said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has filed a report to the City
Council of the City of Palm Desert and said report is approved by
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing as require by section 22590 of
the Streets and Highways Code was held on this date, April 22,
1993.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
Palm Desert, California, as follows:
(1) Written and oral protests against the formation or
extent of the district or work to be performed are
hereby determined to be less than fifty percent
(50�).
(2) That said improvements to be part of the district
are those outlined in the Engineer's Report.
(3) The diagram and report as originally proposed and
as on file with the City Clerk, are hereby
confirmed.
(4) The City Council does hereby order the formation of
a landscaping and Lighting District pursuant to
Part 2 of Division 15 of the California Streets and
Highway s Code, within the City of Palm Desert,
which is located within the boundaries reflected on
the assessment diagram confirmed on this day.
