A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING AN
EASEMENT ON CITY PROPERTY TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
EDISON FOR UTILITY PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City of Palm Desert has title to certain real
pr.operty at the southerly city limits along the east side of
Highway 74; and
WHEREAS, the intent of the City of Palm Desert is t convey the
six (6) acre parcel to the Bureau of Land Management for the
purpose of constructing, operating, and maintaining a Santa Rosa
Mountains Visitor's Information Center; and
WHEREAS, Southern California Edison is the electricity
provi�er in our area, and electricity is necessary for the
functioning of this center; and
WHEREAS, an easement granted to Southern California Edison
will allow the procession of electrical utilities to this site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Palm
Desert grant an easement to Southern California Edison for the
provision of electrical utilities. -
SECTION 2: Authorize the Mayor to execute the Grant of
Easement (attached hereto and made part hereof as Exhibit "A").
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Palm Desert, California, at its Regular Meeting held on the lOth
day of June, 1993, by the following vote, to wit:

CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY, a corporation, its successors and assgns (hereinafter referred to as
'Grantee'), an easeme�t and right of way to construct, use, maintain, operate, altar, add to, repair,
