RESOLUTION NO. 94-90 _
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PALM DESERT IDENTIFYING EXEMPT MANAGEMENT POSITIONS
AND RELATED BENEFITS. THIS RESOLUTION RESCINDS AND
REPLACES RESOLUTIONS NO. 93-67 AND 92-55.
WHEREAS, the City of Palm Desert has certain manaqement staff
positions which are considered exempt under the Fair Labor
Standards Act due to their administrative, technical or
professional nature of their job; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palm Desert has certain benefits related
to these positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PALM DESERT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I -- EXEMPT PERSONNEL
The following positions that require spendinq numerous extra hours
at meetings, conferences and work are exempt from overtime
provisions as set forth in the Personnel Rules and Regulations,
Section 2.52.250.
Group A:
City Manager
Assistant City Manager & Director of Redevelopment Agency
Assistant City Manager & Director of Economic Development
Assistant City Manager & Director Public Works & Engineer
Assistant City Manager & Dir. of Planning & Comm. Development
Finance Director & City Treasurer
City Clerk & Public Information Officer
The following positions that require spending occasional extra
hours at meetings, conferences and work are exempt from overtime
provisions as set forth in the Personnel Rules & Regulations,
Section 2.52.260.

SECTION III
This resolution is effective upon adoption. The provisions
relating to salary and other compensation shall be effective and
where applicable, accrue on, and from July 1, 1994.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Palm Desert City Council this
25th day of August, 1994, by the followinq vote, to wit:
