HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 00-053RESOLUTION NO. 00-53 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 99-55, SECTION I, SALARY SCHEDULE, RANGES AND ALLOCATED CLASSIFICATION, AND SECTION II, EXEMPT PERSONNEL, GROUP B TO ADD ONE POSITION OF PUBLIC RELATIONS COORDINATOR TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS/CITY CLERK. WHEREAS, after considerable discussion, both the subcommittee and Promotion Committee determined that the City should hire a full-time position to coordinate advertising, newsletter, and public relations activities; and WHEREAS, with the addition of an in-house position, there would be greater opportunity to better publicize and promote special events with more efficiency and cost effectiveness; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Desert that Sections I and II of Resolution No.99-55 be amended as follows: SECTION I: Adding Salary Schedule, Ranges and Allocated Classifications SECTION II: Adding Exempt Personnel, Group B COMMUNITY AFFAIRS/CITY CLERK (14) Add: Authorized Position Control Classification Grade Positions 20053 Public Relations Coordinator 680 1 PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, this 11 th day of May 2000, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: BENSON, FERGUSON, KELLY, SPIEGEL, CRITES NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE BUF9RD A.
