A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT,
CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2000-01 BUDGET TO PROVIDE
ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE TRAFFIC SAFETY, GAS TAX,
ART IN PUBLIC PLACES, AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT AND GENERAL
FUNDS
WHEREAS, it appears that certain funds will receive revenues in the 2000-01
fiscal year that exceed the requirements for currently budgeted appropriation, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to appropriate said excess revenues from the Traffic
Safety, Gas Tax, Art in Public Places, Air Quality Management and General Funds for
reimbursement of eligible street, fuel cell and art maintenance expenditures and to
establish reserves for future replacements of equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm
Desert, California, that the 2000-01 Budget is hereby amended by appropriating from
the Unobligated Fund Balances of certain funds to the identified funds as follows:
1. From the General Fund Unobligated Fund Balance for future equipment
replacements - additional reserves:
Equipment Replacement Reserve $200,000
2. From the Traffic Safety Fund to the General Fund to reimburse for street
maintenance performed.
Estimated amount plus interest $ 125,000
3. From the Gas Tax Fund to the General Fund to reimburse for street
maintenance performed.
Estimated amount plus interest $735,000
4. From the Art in Public Places Unobligated Fund Balance to Art in Public
Place Maintenance Fund to cover maintenance and repairs for art within
the City of Palm Desert [5% of Art Work].
Art in Public Places Maintenance Fund $15,000
5. Appropriate and budget estimated revenues in the amount of $168,100
from the unobligated fund balance of the air quality management fund for
the fuel cell program. Payment in the amount of $168,099.60 was
received from the South Coast Air Quality Management District for the
final billing of the fuel cell program.

California, at its Regular Meeting held on the 28th day of June, 2001 by the following
vote, to wit:
