Home My WebLink AboutCC RES 2015-18RESOLUTION NO. 2015-18 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, SETTING FORTH ITS FINDINGS AND AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF FILES FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING AND SAFETY THAT HAVE BEEN DIGITALLY IMAGED. (DECEMBER 2013) WHEREAS, the Department of Building and Safety of the City of Palm Desert, California, has copied onto CD, official files, records, exhibits, permits and other documents of said department; and WHEREAS, said imaged files may be stored and retained for substantially less cost than the original documents and with less hazard from fire and water damage. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitutes the findings of the City Council of this case; and 2. That it does hereby approve the destruction of all documents, records or files (as set forth in Exhibit A, attached herein and made on CD); and 3. All permits, calculations, specifications, plans, tract maps and related information pertaining to all finaled / completed construction prior to NOVEMBER 2013, are filed and are available for public use.
