A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM
DESERT, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR SERVICE RELATED
TO REVIEWING SHORT-TERM RENTAL HARDSHIP EXTENSION
APPLICATIONS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 28th
day of June 2018, consider a request by the CITY OF PALM DESERT for approval to
establish fees, as identified on Exhibit "A" for the review of Short -Term Rental Hardship
Extension applications; and
WHEREAS, the proposed internal fee analysis as identified on Exhibit "A" sets forth
a mechanism for ensuring that fees adopted by the City for services rendered do not
exceed the reasonably estimated cost of providing said services; and
WHEREAS, all requirements of California law are hereby found to have been
complied with in and for these proceedings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm
Desert, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the
City Council in this case.
2. That the City Council does hereby establish fees as identified on Exhibit "A" of
this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the Palm Desert,
California, at its meeting held on the 28th day of June 2018, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: HARNIK, KELLY, NESTANDE, and JONATHAN
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: WEBER
