A RESOLUTION OF THE PALM DESERT
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AUTHORIZING A JOINT
PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PALM DESERT AND THE PALM DESERT
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY WITH RESPECT TO THE
REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR PROJECT AREA NO. 3
AND THE FINAL EIR PREPARED IN CONNECTION
THEREWITH
THE PALM DESERT REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY DOES HEREBY FIND,
DETERMINE, RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
ecti n 1. The Palm Desert Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency") has initiated
proceedings for the adoption of the Redevelopment Plan for Pro�ect Area No. 3 of the
Agency.
e tion 2. The City Council hereby consents to holding a joint public hearing
with the Agency for the purpose of considering the proposed Redevelopment Plan and
Final Environmental Impact Report.
S tion . The Agency hereby sets the following date, time, and place, or other
such date, time, and place as ma be selected by the City Clerk, as the time and place for a
Joint Public Hearing on the proposed Redevelopment Plan for Project Area No. 3 and the
Final Environmental Impact Report, prepared in connection therewith:

NOTICE OF A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT AND THE
PALM DESERT REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ON THE
PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT PLAN AND FINAL
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR PROJECT
AREA NO. 3
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a joint public hearing will be held by the City
Council of the City of Palm Desert and the Palm Desert Redevelopment Agency at the City of
Palm Desert Council Chambers, 73-510 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert, California, on June
27, 1991 at 7:00 p.m, or as soon as possible thereafter, to consider approval and adoption of
the proposed Redevelopment Plan and the Final Environmental Impact Report for the
proposed Project Area No. 3 of the Agency.
The scope and objectives of the pro�osed Redevelopment Plan for Project Area No. 3
are to implement activities which will eliminate and �revent the spread or reoccurrence of
conditions of blight in the Project Area. Such activities may include, but not be limited to, the
construction of needed traffic improvements, flood control improvements, cultural and
recreation improvements; the rehabilitation and conservation of existing structures; and the
construction of other public improvements and facilities.
The Palm Desert Redevelopment Agency's Report to the City Council on the proposed
Redevelopment Plan will be presented at the hearing. The Report includes, but is not limited
to the Environmental Impact Report on the proposed Redevelopment Plan, the reports and
recommendations of the Planning Commission, the report of the County fiscal officer, a
summary of all consultations held with the taxing agencies, and all other documentation
required by the California Community Redevelopment Law. The proposed Redevelopment
Plan and the Report will be available for public inspection as of June 10, 1991 at the City
Clerk's Office, Palm Desert City Hall, 73-510 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert, California.
The Palm Desert Redevelopment Agency will undertake the proposed Redevelopment
Project if, after the public hearing, the City Council approves and adopts the proposed
Redevelopment Plan.
Any and all persons having any objections to the proposed Redevelopment Plan or the
regularity of any of the prior proceedings, or deny the existence of blight in the Project Area,
may appear before the City Council and the Palm Desert Redevelopment Agency and show
cause why the proposed Redevelopment Plan should not be adopted.
At any time not later than the aforesaid hour set for the hearing, any person or
organization may file in writing with the City Clerk of the City of Palm Desert a statement of
his or her objections to the proposed Redevelopment Plan. Any person or organization
desiring to be heard will be given an opportunity to be heard. At the aforesaid hour, the City
Council and the Palm Desert Redevelopment Agency shall proceed to hear and pass upon all
written and oral objections to the proposed Redevelopment Plan.
The City Council and the Agency shall consider all evidence and testimony for and
against the adoption of the proposed Redevelopment Plan.

In addition, the City Council and the Redevelopment Agency will at the same time and
place hold a joint public hearing to consider the Final Environmental Impact Report for the
proposed Redevelopment Plan and consider all evidence and testimony for or against the
certification of the Final Environmental Impact Report. At the day, hour and place of said
hearing, any and all persons desiring to comment on, or having objections to, the content or
adequacy of the Final Environmental Impact Report may appear and be heard before the City
Council and the Redevelopment Agency.
A map of the boundaries of proposed Project Area No. 3 and legal description are
provided herewith as Exhibits A and B respectively.
Interested persons may inspect the proposed Redevelopment Plan, Final
Environmental Impact Report and all other information pertaining thereto as of June 10, 1991,
at the City of Palm Desert City Hall, 73-510 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert, California, or
call the City at (619) 346-0611.
