ORDINANCE NO. B.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT,
CALIFORNIA. TRANSFERRING THE DUTIES OF THE
ASSESSOR AND THE TAX COLLECTOR TO THE
ASSESSOR AND THE TAX COLLECTOR OF THE
COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE.
The City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California.
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. ASSESSOR AND TAX COLLECTOR.
Pursuant to the authority granted by Section 51 S01 of the
Government Code of the State of California, the assessment and tax
collection duties performed by the City Assessor and Tax Collector are
hereby transferred to the Assessor and Tax Collector of the County of
Riverside.
SECTION 2. SAME. ABOLISHMENT OF OFFICES
The offices of the City Assessor and Tax Collector hereby
are abolished.
SECTION 3. SAME. TRANSFER OF DUTIES.
Pursuant to the authority granted by Section 51507 of the
^overnment Code of the State of California, the duties of the City Assessor,
than the assessment of City property, and the duties of the Tax
_: ' lector, other than the collector of taxes, hereby are transferred to and
e-a'i be performed by the City Clerk, or such officer of the County of
Rf verside as may by contract with the City be designated and authorized to
-`orm such duties.
SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE AND PUBLICATION.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the
dale of its adoption, and, prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from
the passage thereof, shall be posted in three public places within the City
limits of the City of Palm Desert, as prescribed by Resolution No.

Code of the State of California.
