PON CONSTRUCTION OP TRASH ENCIDSURNS
NOM, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California,
DOES HEREST ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2 of Ordinance 56 in amended to read as
follows:
Bectlon 2: Trash enclosures shall be of adequate site
to contain the view -obscure refuse containers, discarded
boxes, and other materials normally discarded by the use
involved. Minimum construction standards shall be as
attached or approved by the Director of Environmental
Services, provided that the enclosure shall be of ade-
quate size, and shall be properly located for functional
use by the user and the disposal company and shall be
view-obneured from all sides and shall be built of
approved materials compatible to the buildings, wills
and !surroundings.
SECTION 2. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 56 is amended to
read as follows:
Section 3: The normal trash enclosure area shall be a
minimum of 7 foot wide by 11 feet deep with a 6 foot
high decorative wall and sight -obscuring gate. Devia-
tion in size may be made by the Director of E*nvironr,+vnta1
Services.
SECTION 33. Standards and specifications are approved as
attached in Exhibits A, B & C.
S►•:CTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published
once within fifteen (15) days of adoption in the. Palm Desert Post,
a newspaper published and circulated within the City of Palm Desert,
California.

1975, by the following vote:
