SC IN I Section 25.46 of the Pala Desert Municipal Code, the Zoning
Nap. is hereby amended to Change the Zone of an 8-acre parcel of land located
at the northeast corner of Portola Avenue and Magnesia falls Drive from 'S' (Study)
to PR-S, as indicated on the attached Exhibit "A".
SECTIgN 2; This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an Urgency Ordinance,
effective immediately upon passage, pursuant to Section 36937 of the State Govern-
ment Code because such an action is necessary to preserve the public welfare and
safety because unless such an action is taken, this property would have no meaning-
ful zoning designation until new hearing procedures could be conducted which would
be in conflict with the City's Ordinances.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Palm Desert, California, 1s
hereby directed to cause this Ordinance to be published within fifteen (15) days
of adoption in the Palm Desert Post, a newspaper published and circulated within
the City of Palm Desert, California.
PASSED. APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regularly scheduled meeting of the
Mim Oesert City Council, held on this.23th day of January, 1977, by the following
