AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE 80, KNOWN AS THE REDEVELOPMENT
PLAN FOR PROJECT AREA NO. 1.
CASE NO. RPA 01-77
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 33450 et seq of the Health and Safety
Code, a joint public hearing has been held by the Palm Desert Redevelopment
Agency and the Palm Desert City Council, duly noticed as required by law,
and the Agency and Council have considered the testimony and argument,
if any, of all persons desiring to be heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert does
hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 3 of Ordinance 80 specifically Exhibit C of
the Redevelopment Plan for Project Area No. 1 is hereby amended to conform
to revised Land Use Map, attached hereto and labeled Exhibit A-1, and an
amendment to the Redevelopment Plan text labeled Exhibit B-1.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Palm Desert, California
is hereby directed to record with the County Recorder of Riverside County
a description of the amendments to the Redevelopment Plan for Project Area
No. 1 and a statement that proceedings for the amendment of the Redevelopment
Plan for Project Area No. 1 have been instituted under the Community Redevelop-
ment Law of the State of California.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Palm Desert, California
is hereby directed to publish this ordinance once in the Palm Desert Post,
a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of

Palm Desert, California, and shall certify to the passage and adoption of
this ordinance, and the same shall be in full force and effect thirty (30)
days after its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm
Desert City Council held on this 24th day of March, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Brush, McPherson, Newbrander, Seidler & Mullins
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

WORDING FOR SERVICE INDUSTRIAL
LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR THE
REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR PROJECT AREA NO. 1
Add to Section 5.1 , Land Use:
Page 14, first paragraph ". . .public, and service industrial uses. "
Page 17, add: "D. Service Industrial Uses
To provide a location for those ancillary service indus-
trial uses commonly associated with the other commercial ,
residential , and public uses provided for in the Project
Area, a 3-acre site shall be established north of 44th
Avenue extended and 250 feet west of Painter' s Path.
All development shall require approval of a Conditional
Use Permit (C.U.P. ) by the City Planning Commission.
Uses for said parcel shall be limited to completely
screened, open yard, vehicle storage areas. Project
review shall focus on mitigating aesthetic flood con-
trol , and drainage concerns related with the site or
use. The initial approval will be for a two-year period ,
subject to yearly review thereafter and subject to revoca-
tion whenever deemed necessary by the City Planning Com-
" mission. Revocation shall occur through a Public Hearing
at the annual review.
