AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING CHAPTER 3.32 OF SAID CITY DEALING WITH
PURCHASING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
The City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California does hereby ordain as follows:
Section 1. That Section 3.32.050 be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Purchases of Less Than $1,000
Purchases of materials, supplies, equipment and contractual services having a total
estimated value of less than $1,000 may be made without formal or informal bidding."
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Palm Desert, California, is hereby directed to
publish this ordinance in the Desert Sun, a newspaper of general circulation, published and
circulated in the City of Palm Desert, California, and shall be in full force and effective thirty
(30) days after its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Palm Desert City Council this 11th day
of September, 2008, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: FERGUSON, FINERTY, KELLY, SPIEGEL, and BENSON
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: NONE
ABSTAIN: NONE
