AN CIRDINAME OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PALM DESERT, CALIFO MA, APPROVING A NEGATIVE
DECLARATION OF ENVIRCTDITAL DTACT AND CHANT
OF ZONE FROM R-2 (7) SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
TO O.P. (OFFICE PROFESSICNAL) FOR NINETEEN LOTS
FRONTING FRED WARING DRIVE BETWEEN IKME2EY AND
SAN ANSEEM AVENUES.
CASE NO. C/Z 89-11
YEAS, the City Ctx=il of the City of Palm Desert, California did on
the 26th day of October, 1989, hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider
approval of a negative declaration of xvirCAllental. impact and Change of Zone
for the above mentioned project, more particularly described as:
APN 627-021-004 through 021
WHEREAS, said application has complied with the requirements of the "City
of Palm Desert Procedure for Implementation of the California ESnviro n ental
Quality Act, Resolution No. 80-89," in that the director of community
development has determined that the project will not have an adverse impact on
the envirormant and a negative declaration of envinzmental impact is hereby
certified; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all
testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested perms desiring to be
heard, said planning commission did find the following facts to justify a
reoommendation of approval:
1. The proposed change of zone is consistent with Palm Desert General
Plan and adopted Specific Plan for the area.
2. Office use is determined to be a compatible neighbor to single
family residential given currmt development sta xUrds.
NOW, TfTQt ME, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Co v_-il of the City of Palm
Desert, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the
findings of the commission in this case.
2. That a negative declaration of ecnrirocmental impact, Exhibit "A", is
hereby approved.
3. That Exhibit "B" attached hereto delineating the area and the
proposed zoning for the area is hereby approved.
4. The City Clerk of the City of Palm Desert, California, is hereby
directed to publish this ordinance in the Palm Desert Post, a
newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the
City of Palm Desert, California, and shall be in full force and
effective thirty (30) days after its adoption.

Council, held on this 11th day of January 199.0, by the following vote,

The Director of the Depar-bnent of C1mmrdty Development, City of Palm Desert,
California, has found that the described project will not have a significant
effect on the enviromnent. A copy of the Initial Study has been attached to
doc«mmt the reasons in support of this finding. Mitigation measures, if any,
included in the Project to avoid Potentially significant effects, may also be
farad attached.
