AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION
2.16.010 OF THE PALM DESERT MUNICIPAL CODE,
PERTAINING TO THE INVESTMENT AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it appropriate and desirable
for the City's investment manager to serve on the Investment and
Finance Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert,,
California, DOES ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. Section 2.16.010 of the Municipal Code is
amended to read as follows:
"There is established in the city an investment and finance
committee composed of the finance director/treasurer,
investment manager, city manager, assistant city manager -
redevelopment, mayor, mayor pro-tem, city attorney, and up
to a maximum of four citizens from the community appointed
by the mayor, subject to concurrence by the council, which
committee will make decisions regarding investments and
deposits of money deemed by the financial director to be
available as set forth in Chapter 2.08 of this code."
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify as to the passage
and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published once in the Palm Desert Post, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published, and circulated within the City
of Palm Desert, and the same shall be in force and effect thirty
(30) days after its adoption.

1996, by the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: BENSON, CRITES, KELLY, SPIEGEL, SNYDER
