Recommendation:
By minute motion, authorize the Mayor to execute a Quitclaim Deed to
vacate a portion of the restricted access rights located on Country Club
Drive at Desert Country Plaza.
Discussion:
The recorded parcel map for Desert Country Plaza (located on the north side of Country
Club Drive between Country Club Business Park and Desert Country Circle) indicates
restricted access rights along the development's frontage, except for openings at Harris
Lane and a right turn -in only between Harris Lane and Desert Country Circle. With
Planning Commission's recommendation to approve, City Council adopted Resolution
No. 00-109 on August 24, 2000, approving a precise plan (PP 00-12) of design of four
commercial buildings, which included a right turn ingress and egress west of Harris
Lane where the map indicates restricted access.
Grading and street improvement plans were prepared by the developer's engineer and
subsequently approved by the Public Works Director/City Engineer on April 2, 2001.
The subject quitclaim deed will vacate only that portion of the restricted access in which
the approvals permit an access opening.

Therefore, staff recommends that City Council, by minute motion, authorize the Mayor
to execute a Quitclaim Deed to vacate a portion of the restricted access rights located
on Country Club Drive at Desert Country Plaza.

of Country Club Drive as indicated on Parcel Map No. 18480 as filed in Book 142, pages 54 to 57
and Parcel Map No. 29068 as filed in Book 196, pages 8 and 9, both of Parcel Maps of the official
records of the County of Riverside, State of Califomia.
