Executive Summary: Autodesk provides products and services in the engineering and design arena. AutoCAD is an Autodesk product used in our office by the Transportation Engineer and others. The four -day conference total is $1,295 with an early registration discount ($1,595.00 after October 8, 2004). This price includes hotel accommodations. Travel costs (including meals, tips, parking, mileage, phone, etc.) are estimated to be approximately $125 per day. This accounts for a total of approximately $1,920. The budget for fiscal year 2004-2005 already includes attendance at this conference by the Engineering Technician II, who will also be attending. Funds are available in Account No. 110-4300-413-3120. Therefore, staff recommends that City Council, by minute motion, authorize out of state travel for the Transportation Engineer to attend the Autodesk University 2004 Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, November 30 - December ., 2004.
