REQUEST: Execute a Quitclaim Deed to perfect the intent of approved Parcel Map
Waiver 04-14

Recommendation:
By minute motion, authorize the Mayor to execute a Quitclaim Deed, which will
implement the adjusted lots, pursuant to Certificate of Compliance Parcel Map
waiver 04-14 as approved by the City of Palm Desert Planning Commission on
August 3, 2004
Discussion:
The City of Palm Desert Planning Commission approved a waiver of parcel map (PMW 04-
14) for a lot line adjustment between the Joslyn Senior Center and the proposed Community
Room on Catalina Way on August 3, 2004. The related Certificate of Compliance for PMW
04-14 will be recorded concurrently with the Quitclaim Deed with the County of Riverside. As
with any lot line adjustments and lot mergers, new deeds for the affected property need to be
recorded to provide constructive notice of the revised or merged lot configuration(s) pursuant
to Government Code Section 66412(d). A deed also perfects the intent of a lot line
adjustment or merger, as approved.
Therefore, staff recommends that the City Council, by minute motion, authorize the Mayor to
execute a Quitclaim Deed to perfect the intent of approved Parcel Map waiver 04-14.

the PALM DESERT REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, a public body, corporate and politic

Exhibit "B", attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof.
NOTE: This deed implements the revised lot configurations pursuant to Certificate of Compliance PMW
04-14 as approved by the City of Palm Desert Planning Commission on August 3, 2004. The function of this
deed is to provide constructive notice of the revised lot configurations pursuant to Government Code Section
66412(d), and to perfect the intent of the Certificate of Compliance PMW 04-14 as approved.
