Page Gamer, Senior Engineer/City Surveyor DATE: August 26, 2004 CONTENTS: Quitclaim Deed Recommendation: By minute motion, authorize the Mayor to execute a Quitclaim Deed, which will implement the adjusted lots, pursuant to Certificate of Compliance Parcel Map waiver 04-14 as approved by the City of Palm Desert Planning Commission on August 3, 2004 Discussion: The City of Palm Desert Planning Commission approved a waiver of parcel map (PMW 04- 14) for a lot line adjustment between the Joslyn Senior Center and the proposed Community Room on Catalina Way on August 3, 2004. The related Certificate of Compliance for PMW 04-14 will be recorded concurrently with the Quitclaim Deed with the County of Riverside. As with any lot line adjustments and lot mergers, new deeds for the affected property need to be recorded to provide constructive notice of the revised or merged lot configuration(s) pursuant to Government Code Section 66412(d). A deed also perfects the intent of a lot line adjustment or merger, as approved. Therefore, staff recommends that the City Council, by minute motion, authorize the Mayor to execute a Quitclaim Deed to perfect the intent of approved Parcel Map waiver 04-14. Submitted By: � Y R.
