Recommendation:
By minute motion, accept Garza Landscaping, Inc. proposal of
$80.00 per month for the Landscape Maintenance of the Charger
Sculpture Landscape Area.
Discussion:
The Charger Sculpture was relocated to the present location on the east side of
Highway 74, between El Paseo and Highway 111, in February 2002. The landscape
around the sculpture was completed in early summer of 2004. The maintenance is
currently being invoiced on a month -to -month bases.
The proposal given by Garza Landscape is consistent with the cost for similar work
being done in Landscape Maintenance Area No. 2.

Funds are currently available in landscape maintenance account number 110-4611-
453.33-70.
Therefore, the staff recommends that City Council approve Change Order #1 to
Contract No. 22440 for $560.00, for the remainder of fiscal year 2004/2005.

We hereby propose to furnish equipment and labor necessary to maintain the landscaping of
Palomino Charger Project perimeter common areas along Hwy 74 between El Paseo and Hwy
111
This project shall receive service level "A" and all terms and condition as per contract #C22230
- trim trees and shrubs (natural appearance)
- weed all beds as needed
- rake D.G. in beds for good appearance
- pick up all litter and debris
- re -stake trees if needed
- check and repair sprinkler systems
- control pest as needed
- mow lawns
Garza shall perform the above work for the sum of: Eighty dollars ($80.00) per month.
