Recommendation:
By minute motion; authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the
Street, Median, and Traffic Signal Improvements on Country Club Drive from
Tamarisk Row to Park Center Drive (Project No. 713-04 — Contract No.C22920A)
Discussion:
On October 28, 2004, City Council awarded the subject contract to Granite Construction
Company, Inc., in the amount of $976,160.00. Granite Construction has completed the street,
median, and traffic signal improvements on Country Club Drive. Public Works staff has
inspected the work performed by Granite Construction Company, Inc. and has found said work
to be completed in accordance with the contract requirements.
Therefore, staff recommends that City Council, by minute motion, accept the subject project as
complete and authorize the City clerk to file a Notice of Completion.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
1. That the interest or estate stated in paragraph 3 herein in the real property herein described is
OWNED by the CITY OF PALM DESERT, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, a political subdivision of the State
of California, and whose address is 73-510 FRED WARING DRIVE, PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA 92260.
2. That the full name and address of the owner of said interest or estate is set forth in the preceding
paragraph.
3. That the nature of the title of the stated owner, as set forth in paragraph 1, is: Fee.
4. That on the 25th day of August, 2005, a work of improvement described as Street, Median,
and Traffic Signal Improvements on Country Club Drive from Tamarisk Row to Park Center Drive,
Project 713-04, Contract No. C22920A on the real property herein described was completed.
5. That the name of the original contractor, if any, for said work of improvement was: Granite
Construction Company, Inc., 38000 Monroe Street, Indio, California 92203.
6. That the real property herein referred to is situated in the City of Palm Desert, County of Riverside,
State of California, and is described as: Street, Median, and Traffic Signal Improvements on Country Club
Drive from Tamarisk Row to Park Center Drive.
