El Paseo
When The Gardens on El Paseo opens The Coach Store this spring, the project will be
100% leased. Recent openings at The Gardens include Cole Hahn, L'Occitane cosmetics
and Carla's home furnishings.
The former Pak Inn/City Wok location at the corner of El Paseo and Highway 74 will bring
a new restaurant to the street. As of the printing of this report, staff has not confirmed the
new name of the restaurant. It will be a barbeque restaurant which has a second location
in Los Angeles.
Black Market and White House have combined their two stores into one. Construction
was completed on the Black Market suite at El Paseo Collection North which now houses
both stores. There has been no announcement on the vacated White House location.
Chico's, also at El Paseo Collection North, remains among the chain's very top performers
in the company. The store has recently completed its third expansion, adding 2,100
square feet to their existing 3,100 square feet.
Mondi had a very successful 2003/2004 year. They are now expanding which will double
their size from 1,600 to 3,200 square feet.
Georgiou will open in 1,250 square feet at 73-100 El Paseo. The national women's
fashion store will carry their newer, highend lines.
Joy Maternity opened last month in the former Adams Bay location and is carrying both
casual and evening fashions for the expected mother.
Belita, a high fashion plus size women's apparel shop, will open in the former Peter Taylor
location on the south side of the 73-400 block between Roc's Firehouse and CC Inn.

Also recently opened in the same block is Palm Desert Mountain Trail Gallery. The
owners of this gallery have extensive experience in the business with additional locations
in Park City, Utah and Sedona, Arizona.
