Recommendation:
By minute motion, authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the Landscape
Installation on Highway 111 Medians, Town Center Way to Hospitality Row — Contract No.
C22990.
Discussion:
On August 26, 2004, City Council awarded Contract No.C22990 to Marina Landscape, Inc. of Anaheim,
California in the amount of $439,912.00 for the landscaping on various sections of Highway 111 medians
from Town Center Way to Hospitality Row.
The Public Works Department and CalTrans have inspected the work performed by Marina Landscape, Inc.
and have found said work to be completed and in accordance with the contract requirements.
Therefore, staff recommends that City Council, by minute motion, authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of
Completion for the subject project.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
1. That the interest or estate stated in paragraph 3 herein in the real property herein described is
OWNED by the CITY OF PALM DESERT, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, a political subdivision of the State
of California, and whose address is 73-510 FRED WARING DRIVE, PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA 92260.
2. That the full name and address of the owner of said interest or estate is set forth in the preceding
paragraph.
3. That the nature of the title of the stated owner, as set forth in paragraph 1, is: FEE.
4. That on the 9th day of June, 2005, a work of improvement described as Landscape Installation
on the real property herein described was completed.
5. That the name of the original contractor, if any, for said work of improvement was: Marina Landscape,
1100 E. Katella Avenue, Anaheim, California 92805-6621
6. That the real property herein referred to is situated in the City of Palm Desert, County of Riverside,
State of California, and is described as: Median Islands on Highway 111 between Town Center Way and
Hospitality Row.
