By minute motion, waive further reading and adopt Resolution No. 05-101 abandoning an
excess public utility easement.
Discussion:
The Pubic Works Department has received a request for the abandonment of a portion of a public
utility easement located over 74769 and 74791 Sheryl Avenue, lots 122 and 123 of the Country Club
Village No. 1 subdivision. The area is designated as a public utility easement on the subject map,
filed with the Riverside County Recorder's office in Book 40 on Pages 9 through 11.
Staff has reviewed the request and finds that the applicant has granted new easements to the
impacted utilities and paid for the utilities to be relocated. The Director of Community Development
has found no General Plan -related issues associated with this proposed action.
Staff has posted notice at the location and a legal notice was published in the local newspaper.
Therefore, staff recommends that City Council waive further reading and adopt Resolution No.05-101
abandoning a portion of a public utility easement located over 74769 and 74791 Sheryl Avenue, Tots
122 and 123 of the Country Club Village No. 1 subdivision.

RE: 74769 Sheryl Ave.
Dear Sirs,
In regards the property address listed above I am requesting that you abandon the existing
public utilities easement.
We have already established the new public utilities easement and moved all power,
telephone and cable lines on this property.
I am attaching copies of my receipts from the work that has been completed above.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
